May 9 2021 At least 23 patients with Coronavirus escaped from rao hospital, run by municipal authorities, without notifying the hospital between April 19 and May 6, the mayor of North Delhi, Jai Prakash, said Thursday.

“Between April 19 and May 6, 23 patients fled the hospital without informing anyone,” Prakash said, according to India’s ABP news network. They may have access to better medical facilities elsewhere, as has happened in Delhi’s public hospitals. Prakash said Delhi police had been informed of the patients’ departure.

Rao Hospital is the largest public hospital in the Indian capital, with 250 beds reserved for patients with the Coronavirus, the report said.
