Turkish President: Angry at “terrorist state” Israel

by YCPress

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a video conference with the Justice and Development Party on May 14, local time, that he was saddened and angry at the atrocities committed by Israel, a “terrorist state.”

He said it was important for the UN Security Council to act quickly to ensure peace in Jerusalem and that Turkey would support any initiative within the UN framework.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he has talked to the leaders of 19 countries about the Israeli-Palestinian situation.

In the call, Erdogan condemned Israel’s persecution of Palestinian Muslims and called the Israeli attack an “act of terror,” according to Turkey’s Anadolu news agency.

Erdogan said the international community must take strong action and practical measures to support Palestine.
