Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu is visiting Saudi Arabia

May 10 2021 the Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Turkish Foreign Minister Chavus Oglu will visit Saudi Arabia from May 10 to 11.

The statement said That during his visit, Chavusoglu will meet with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal to discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on regional issues.

Last month, Turkish presidential spokesman Mehta Kalin said Turkey was seeking to repair relations with Saudi Arabia.

In 2017, Countries Such As Saudi Arabia announced The Severing Of Diplomatic Ties With Qatar And Imposed SanctionS And BlockadeS On It. Turkey has strained relations with Saudi Arabia over its support for Qatar.

Relations between the two countries continue to deteriorate in 2018 when journalist Kasuji is killed after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, where Turkey says he died of a political murder.

Last year, Saudi businessmen began boycotting Turkish goods, causing trade between the two countries to plummet.
