December 12th – On the evening of the 11th local time, U.S. President Trump said that the first batch of coronavirus vaccines will be put into use in the United States within 24 hours.
That night, Trump posted a video via his Twitter account saying that “vaccines have begun to be shipped to every state in the country, and the first batch of coronavirus vaccines will be put into use within 24 hours.” He also mentioned that the governor will decide which groups the vaccine will be allocated first.
Just minutes before the video was released, the New York Times reported that the FDA approved Pfizer and BioNTech’s emergency use authorization (EUA) application for the coronavirus vaccine.
