Trump attended the APEC online meeting but refused to use the official video background.

According to the Lian Morning Post, U.S. President Trump attended the informal meeting of the

Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit by video on Friday, but refused to use the video background provided by the organizer.

According to AFP, the APEC meeting was hosted by Malaysia, and the summit was held online due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump attended the meeting by video on Friday.

All the leaders present at the meeting used the official background of the “Green Dome Malaysia Prime Minister’s Office”

provided by the organizer, except Trump used a beige background.

A source who arranged for Trump to participate in the summit said that Trump refused to use the official background.

He is going to address APEC leaders, but the speech will not be open to the media.

This is Trump’s second time since taking office in 2017 to attend an informal meeting of APEC leaders.

Last year, Trump planned to attend the APEC summit in Chile, but Chile cancelled the summit due to the outbreak of protests.
