Trump asked Republicans to remove McConnell from the Senate Republican leadership.

by YCPress

February 16th, local time, former U.S. President Trump issued a statement in which he asked Republicans to remove Mitch McConnell from the Senate Republican leadership.

Trump said in a statement that if Mitch McConnell is still the Republican leader in the Senate, the Republican Party will never be as strong and respected as before.

It is reported that McConnell has repeatedly expressed strong dissatisfaction with Trump before and after the impeachment trial.

He once said on February 13 that even if Trump was acquitted again, he still had to pay “practical and moral responsibility” for the impact on the Capitol.
