Tokyo Olympics will begin accepting ticket refunds for next year’s Olympics from the 10th

Tokyo, November 10 Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee began accepting ticket refunds for next year’s Olympics from the 10th. According to reports, there was no obvious congestion on the official website on the first day of refunds.

According to the refund plan announced by the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee at the end of October, all ticket holders who cannot watch next year’s Olympic and Paralympic games can refund their tickets through the official website. 

However, this refund plan is aimed at ticket buyers who bought tickets through the official ticketing website of the Olympic Organizing Committee, and the ticket refund time is only 20 days. The Olympic refund time is from November 10 to November 30, and the Paralympic Games refunds. The time is from December 1st to December 21st.

According to the relevant plan, the refunder needs to register on the official website and then complete the refund through simple procedures. The ticket price will be refunded to the purchaser’s credit card or bank account at the face price next year.

It should be noted that the refunder must live in Japan within the specified refund time, because the relevant pages of the refund website cannot be operated outside of Japan. If the refunder is not in Japan, you need to call the Olympic Organizing Committee ticket customer service number, and the customer service representative will represent the ticket The holder completes the refund procedure online. 

The Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games specifically pointed out that for foreign audiences who purchase tickets through ticket agents, they need to be responsible for the issue of ticket refunds, which are not within the scope of this refund.

According to statistics, about 4.48 million tickets for the Tokyo Olympics have been sold, and about 970,000 tickets for the Paralympics have been sold.
