May 2 2021 Three people, including the gunman, were killed and another injured in a shooting at a casino-related hotel near Green Bay, Wisconsin, on the evening of May 1, local time, NBC reported.
Local police reportedly said the gunman was targeting a staff member he knew but was not at the scene. Despite this, the gunman opened fire on two colleagues of the target, killing both. Another person was “seriously injured” in the shooting.
Police also said they later shot the gunman outside the scene of the crime.
Witnesses said the gunman was “shooting violently in the building”, adding, “We escaped from there (the scene of the crime) and thank God we were safe.” ”
Police later emptied all rooms at the hotel involved for safety reasons, the report said.
After the incident, Wisconsin Gov. Jeff Sessions posted on social media that he was “very shocked” by the shooting and said he would give mental and material support to all those affected by the shooting.
