Three people have been injured in a forest fire in France that has burned more than 5,000 hectares

According to France’s commercial FM television reported that the southern French province of Val fire is still continuing, as of 6 am local time on the 17th, the area of the fire has exceeded 5000 hectares. The wildfires are currently causing three minor injuries and 19 poisonings.

The local fire department took precautions and evacuated thousands of people to safety. Several local roads were also disrupted. The fire department mobilized more than 700 firefighters, nine firefighting aircraft and three firefighting helicopters to join the effort.

The forest fire started in the town of Gonfaron in the province of Valls at about 17:45 local time on the 16th.
