According to Iraqi sources, the Iraqi government plans to formally sue the U.S. government. The United States previously admitted that depleted uranium bombs were used in the 1991 Gulf War and the 2003 Iraq War.

Its radiation can cause diseases such as leukemia, liver system disorders and cancer, peaking in 10 to 15 years.

The large amount of uranium compounds produced by the two wars has caused a surge in birth defects, cancer prevalence and other diseases in most parts of Iraq.
