November 22, according to a recent report on the website of Fast Company magazine in the United States, Canadian startup Cobionix claimed that they have developed the world’s first vaccine-free robot (Cobi), which can be vaccinated autonomously, painless and needle-free.
The drug is put into a disposable container with a nozzle. The drug delivery part consists of a piston and a magnet surrounded by a circle of wire. When the current is applied, the magnetic field pushes the piston, squeezes the bottle, vigorously ejects the medicine through the nozzle, and penetrates the skin pores and enters the body. Cobionix said that Cobi is still just a working prototype and may take two years or more to go public.
