The US media has compiled another rumor to sow discord for fear of cooling down the Sino-Indian border conflict

Global Network reported on December 8 that Bloomberg in the United States claimed to quote an anonymous official of the Indian government the previous day, accusing China of “assisting and providing asylum to Indian rebels through ethnic minorities in Myanmar.” Interestingly, as the real parties involved in the incident, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India declined to comment on this news, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China directly denied this accusation and once again emphasized China’s basic principle of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs.

Supporting opposition forces in other countries and destroying a state power is a tactic used by the United States, and the disintegration of the Soviet Union is its most famous masterpiece. Because the Soviet Union’s armed forces are strong enough to destroy the United States with a huge nuclear arsenal, the United States dare not directly attack the Soviet Union, but by supporting the Soviet Union’s “dissidents” and “free intellectuals”, it has affected the political thinking in the Soviet Union.

And eventually brought down the Soviet Union. Of course, the collapse of the Soviet Union was mainly due to internal problems. After the end of the Cold War, the United States used this method to destroy Libya and mess up Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, and a large number of small and medium-sized countries in the Middle East and Central Asia.

China and the United States are very different. Among the “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence” established when the nation was founded, one of the important ones is: non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.

For more than 70 years, China has always adhered to the policy of “non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs” and has carried out diplomatic activities on an equal footing with all countries. However, the world is not “equal”, especially the traditional Western powers, which generally follow the diplomatic policy of “power is truth”. As long as they are third world countries that do not conform to their ideas, they must intervene arbitrarily.

Due to historical and political reasons, China and India have not formally delineated the border between the two countries. There have been many frictions between China and India due to border issues.

In addition to the border conflict in 1962, in 1967, 1987, 2013, 2017 and now, there has been and even maintained a tense confrontation on the border between China and India. This provides an important “handle” for other countries to intervene in Sino-Indian relations and even to contain China’s development.

At this time, the US media spread the rumors that “China supports the Indian rebels” has a very simple purpose. It is to continue to provoke tensions between China and India, and even intensify China-India relations in order to profit from it. This year, due to the impact of the epidemic, the economies of Western countries, including the United States, have experienced a severe decline and shrinkage.

However, due to effective protective measures, China has emerged from the shadow of the epidemic first, becoming the only country in the world that still maintains a positive GDP growth. The United States, which is the “beacon of civilization”, feels anxious. The success of the fight against the epidemic has greatly increased China’s international influence. At the same time, due to economic recovery, the gap in national power between China and the United States is rapidly narrowing. The United States is now in a state of madness to prevent China’s rise at all costs.

In the past six months, the United States has repeatedly touched China’s “red line”: not only are hundreds of sorties of various types of aircraft frequently approaching the South China Sea and reefs and mainland China each month to conduct various investigations and provocative activities; high-ranking officials of the US government have also been one after another.

“Visit” Taiwan, desperately cheering for the separatists to provoke the mainland. After the Sino-Indian border friction, the United States will naturally not let go of such a good opportunity. Therefore, the US media has repeatedly exaggerated the tensions between China and India. Seeing that China and India have always exercised restraint and the border negotiations are close to yielding results, the US media once again jumped out to create rumors that “China supports Indian rebels” in order to continue to incite India and China to confront each other, so that the United States can on one hand. Using India to “hold” China, on the other hand, it can continue to sell weapons to India for profit, killing two birds with one stone.

In all fairness, apart from its population, India cannot be compared with China in any respect, and cannot pose a threat to China at all. China is not a Western power. We have no interest in occupying the territories of other countries and colonizing other countries.

China’s goal is to work hard to strengthen domestic construction and make the people’s lives more prosperous. In the face of the rumors from the American media, Chinese diplomacy simply denied all accusations.

The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also seems to understand this, and did not support the reports of the US media, but kept silent about it. In fact, senior Indian officials also know that the United States is actually using India as a cash machine to contain China’s chess pieces and arms economy, so it has always been more cautious in provoking the United States. This is also a rare and clear-headed moment for the Indian government.
