January 7, the British Embassy in China updated its visa policy and announced the relaxation of the application conditions for PSW visa (student work visa).
The new regulations are mainly for one-year international graduate students who will enter British universities in January 2021.
The latest visa policy makes it clear that one-year graduate students who will enter or will enter the school in January 2021, and face global travel restrictions, cannot arrive at British schools on time to report for distance learning first, as long as they arrive in the UK before September 27, 2021 and complete the last semester in the UK.
If you study, you are still eligible to apply for a graduate work visa.
The British Embassy in China made it clear that one-year international students who entered the school in September 2020 still need to enter the United Kingdom before April 6, 2021 and complete their last semester of study in the United Kingdom before they can be eligible to apply for a graduate work visa.
For students with more than one year of study and not graduated this year, even if the whole academic year of 2020-2021 needs to be completed remotely, it will not affect the eligibility to apply for a graduate work visa.
In addition, the British Home Office has further updated the guidance on applying for alternative visas after the expiration of a 90-day entry visa.
Applicants who have obtained a 90-day entry visa who have not expired or are about to expire before travel visas due to epidemic restrictions can fill in the online form and make an appointment with the visa center to apply for an alternative visa.
