April 22nd, local time, the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed Diane Criswell as administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Chriswell also became the agency’s first female administrator.

At a hearing in March, Mr. Criswell said the Federal Emergency Management Agency would play a key role in responding to climate disasters and would continue to work to support communities and respond to the new outbreak.
