The U.S. military base in Iraq was hit by two rockets in a drone strike

May 8 2021, Two rockets landed at the U.S. air base in Iraq, Russian satellite news agency and Arab state-run television reported Wednesday. The U.S.-led coalition responded by saying the attack was carried out by a drone and that no casualties were reported. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

It was previously reported that in mid-February, 12 rockets hit the Erbil air base in Iraq, killing one civilian and wounding nine others, including the U.S. military. A Shiite fund later claimed responsibility for the attack.
