The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rules that you don't have to wear a mask after vaccination, the nation's largest nurses' union has condemned

May 16 2021 The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued new guidelines for outbreak prevention and control, requiring people who have received the Coronavirus vaccine not to wear masks, prompting strong condemnation from the nation’s largest nurses’ union.

The National Nurses Union (NNU), the nation’s largest nurses’ union, issued a statement Friday condemning the CDC’s new guidelines for outbreak prevention and control, saying it is concerned that the new rules could put patients, front-line workers and nurses at risk during the new outbreak, The Capitol Hill reported.

“The latest guidelines have no scientific basis, do not protect public health and threaten the lives of patients, nurses and other front-line workers across the country,” said Bonnie Castillo, the union’s executive director. We are still in the deadliest outbreak since the 21st century, and we are angry at the CDC’s approach, not at a time when protections are relaxed. ”

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued new guidelines for outbreak prevention and control on the 13th, requiring vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks or keep a social distance, touting it as a “victory.” “Anyone who has been vaccinated can participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, without wearing a mask, and without having to keep a safe distance,” CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said at a White House news conference. ”

U.S. media said the CDC issued new guidelines for outbreak prevention and control does not apply to medical institutions, prisons or homeless shelters. The CDC requires people to follow local business and workplace guidelines. In addition, Americans still wear masks on planes, buses and trains.
