According to U.S. media reports on February 5, the U.S. Air Force is investigating a person who illegally broke into Andrews Joint Base.

A spokesman for the base said in a statement that one person broke into Andrews Joint Base without authorization, and said that the Air Force’s Special Investigation Office would lead the investigation.

Apart from the statement, the U.S. Air Force did not release more details, and it was not clear whether the intruders entered the aircraft at the base at the exact time of the incident.

Joint Base Andrews is the parking place of the President’s presidential special plane Air Force One, located in Maryland, about 15 miles from the White House.

The United States Air Force Special Investigation Office (OSI) is currently investigating the details of the incident.
