13 May 2021, the Myanmar National Governing Council announced that military control would be imposed in the town of Minda in Chin State from now on, with the administrative and judicial power of the area taken over by the North-West Military Region of Myanmar. This is also the new military control of six townships in Yangon and five in Mandalay since mid-March.

According to Myanmar media reports, the civilian armed “Haka Defence Force” in the town of Haqqa, ChinBang, launched an attack on the local government forces from 26 to 27 April, resulting in more than 20 casualties;
