Argentina’s Ministry of Transport and Railway Operation Company signed four railway cooperation agreements with three Chinese enterprises at the Argentine presidential palace on the 11th, with a total amount of 4.695 billion US dollars.
At the signing ceremony, Argentine President Fernandez thanked Chinese enterprises for their support for the development of Argentina’s railway system.
On the same day, in the presence of Argentine President Fernández, the agreement was signed, which mainly included railway renovation, car procurement, etc.
The Argentine presidential palace said in a press release that the agreement would create 28,000 jobs in Argentina, benefiting 13 provinces.
Fernandez said at the signing ceremony that Argentina’s vast territory and perfect railway system are crucial to economic development, and thanked Chinese enterprises for their support for the development of Argentina’s railway system.
Argentine Transport Minister Mario Meoni said that cooperation with Chinese enterprises will greatly improve the Argentine freight railway system and be a good start for the transformation and upgrading of Argentine railways.
