On the 28th local time, the Russian national space group “Soyuz-2.1b” carrier rocket carrying 36 British OneWeb communications satellites from the Russian Oriental Space Launch Site ignited.

The launch was originally scheduled for the 27th, but had to be postponed for 24 hours for technical reasons. Ten minutes after liftoff, the satellite-carrying booster was successfully separated from the launch vehicle.

It is reported that this is this year’s Soyuz launch vehicle to carry out the eighth launch mission.

Russia plans to carry out 29 space launches in 2021, according to Rogozin, the head of Russia’s space agency.
