According to the Russian Satellite News Agency on January 18, Russia’s News quoted Russian Ministry of Defense as reporting that the nuclear strategic force of the Russian navy will eliminate the missile submarines built by the Soviet Union by 2030 by 2030 by updating equipment.

Eight Soviet-era submarines will be decommissioned from the Russian navy, the oldest of which was commissioned in 1982 and the latest in 1987.

According to the report, the Soviet missile submarine will be replaced by the 955A “North Wind God”-class strategic submarine.
