The President of Portugal confirms January 24, 2021 as the day of presidential election
On November 24 the current President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, signed a decree, setting January 24, 2021 as the next presidential election day.
The deadline for submitting presidential candidates is December 24, and the election campaign will be held from January 10 to 22. If no candidate has more than half of the votes (excluding blank votes).
The second election will be held 21 days later, that is, on February 14 between the two candidates with the most votes.
