The President of Azerbaijan ordered the construction of an international airport in the Karabakh region.

According to the Russian satellite news agency on January 5, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that according to his instructions, an international airport will be built in the city of Fizuli in the Karabakh region this year.

In a video interview with the country’s new Minister of Culture, Anal Krimov, Aliyev said: “According to my instructions, an international airport will be built in Fizuli.

The site is currently being located and regional demining will be carried out… The runway should be repaired at least this year.”

Aliyev said that Fizuli International Airport will help “inviting foreign guests to Shusha City”.
