Los Angeles introduced new restrictions on the COVID-19 epidemic. Los Angeles Mayor Gacheti issued a stay-at-home order requiring all residents of the city to stay at home.

The order restricts almost all social gatherings above a single family, but exempts constitutionally protected religious services and protests.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti warned that the city is approaching “a devastating tipping point, beyond which the number of hospitalized patients will begin to cause the hospital system to collapse, and we will face unnecessary pain and the risk of death.”

Garcetti said that the way to avoid “horrible situations” is to avoid gathering with people outside their families as much as possible. He also directed closures of businesses that require people to work in attendance and set travel restrictions.

As early as November 30, Los Angeles issued a stay-at-home order, calling on residents not to meet with people with people with different residences in public and private places from the early morning of November 30 local time.

At the same time, the passenger flow limit required for necessary retail stores was reduced from the current 50% to 35%, the passenger flow of non-essential retail stores was reduced from the current 25% to 20%, and stadiums were allowed to open outdoor parts and only maintain 50% of the passenger flow. The stay-at-home order issued this time is stricter.

According to the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Los Angeles County, where the city is located, is 414,185, and the death toll is 7,740.
