Azerbaijani President Aliyev had previously said that the Nagorno-Karabakh Coordination Group planned to hold talks in Moscow on February 27, but the Armenian side did not give a definite reply at that time.

Owerchuk pointed out: “The Azerbaijani, Armenia and Russia Tripartite Working Group plans to hold talks in Moscow on February 27, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, and all parties have confirmed to participate in the talks.”

The Nagorno-Karabakh is located in southwest Azerbaijan.

Most of the residents are ethnic Armenians. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan and Armenia have been in a state of hostility due to the ownership of the Nagorno-Karabakh for a long time.

In September 2020, fierce clashes broke out between the two sides, causing a large number of deaths and injuries.
