The Mexican government has declared three days of national mourning for the victims of the subway crash

On the afternoon of May 4, local time, mexico’s federal government declared three days of national mourning to the victims of the subway crash on Wednesday night. The Governments of the United States, France, Venezuela, Panama and Romania have expressed their condolences to the Government of Mexico.

Mexico City Mayor Chinbaum denied rumors that The head of Mexico City’s subway system, Florencia Serrania, had been fired, but revealed that she would temporarily leave her management position while the investigation was under investigation. Mr Sheenbaum said the first task of the accident investigation was to identify those responsible before deciding what to do.

The 12th metro line in Mexico City, Mexico’ capital, collapsed at around 22:22 local time on May 3 on an elevated track southeast of the city, causing several carriages to fall from the collapse. The accident has so far killed at least 24 people, 68 of the 79 injured are still being treated in hospital.
