The governor of Shimane Prefecture of Japan said that he planned to cancel the Olympic torch relay in the county.

According to Japan’s Kyodo News Agency, Tatsuya Maruyama, governor of Shimane Prefecture, said on the 17th that he intended to cancel the Tokyo Olympic torch relay in the prefecture, saying that “[the Olympic torch relay in Shimane Prefecture] should not be held.”
