The foreign ministers of Malaysia and New Zealand met to reach agreement on anti-pandemic cooperation and other matters

May 2, Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishamdin and Singapore’s Foreign Minister Viven met in Singapore and the two countries agreed on issues such as anti-pandemic cooperation.

In a joint statement issued after the meeting, the two foreign ministers said the two sides are satisfied with their cooperation in jointly addressing the challenges of the Covid-19 outbreak and will continue to maintain a positive and consistent strategy on future issues such as cross-border visits.

The Ministers also discussed the latest developments in Myanmar and agreed that ASEAN and its member States continue to play an active and constructive role in promoting lasting peace.
