December 29th local time, Colorado health officials said that the first mutant COVID-19 infection in the United States was diagnosed in a local laboratory in Colorado and had notified the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The infected person is a man in his 20s, has no travel experience, and is currently in quarantine.
Colorado governor said, “We don’t know much about this mutant novel coronavirus, but British scientists have warned that the virus is more infectious.
The health and safety of Colorado residents is our top priority, and we will closely monitor the infection and do our best to stop the spread of the virus.”
