The first batch of COVID-19 vaccine in the European Union will be carried out at the end of December

Russian satellite news agency on November 25th, European Commission President von der Leyen said in his speech at the plenary session of the European Parliament that the first citizens of EU member states will be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus at the end of December this year.

“The first EU citizens were able to get vaccinated by the end of December,” von der Leyen said. “It’s a bright light at the end of the tunnel.” She pointed out that the European Commission has signed six vaccine procurement contracts with vaccine research and development companies totaling more than 2 billion doses. The population of the EU is about 500 million.
