The EU’s launch of a civil protection mechanism will help India fight Coronavirus outbreak

April 25, local time, European Commission Crisis Management Commissioner Lenarcic said on social media that the European Union had activated its civil protection mechanism in response to India’s request for assistance and would do everything possible to help India fight Coronavirus outbreak.

Through the mechanism, the EU is now coordinating member states to provide India with much-needed oxygen and medicine as soon as possible, Lenarcic said.

European Commission President Von der Leyen 25 also said on social media the same day, India’s Coronavirus outbreak is worrying, the European Union is ready to provide assistance.
