WTO formally approved the EU’s application for retaliatory measures against the US, and the EU has the right to import nearly US$4 billion in US goods and services each year. Implement trade retaliation measures such as imposing tariffs.

According to the arbitration report released by the WTO on the 13th of this month, the U.S. government failed to implement the WTO ruling and continued to impose illegal subsidies on Boeing.

The US and EU aviation manufacturing subsidy disputes began in 2004, when the two sides accused each other of providing “unreasonable” subsidies to their respective aviation industry giants Airbus and Boeing.

The WTO has ruled that both the United States and the European Union have problems providing unreasonable subsidies to their respective aviation companies.
