It is not clear how much the temperature loss will affect the effectiveness of the vaccine, but the relevant regional leaders who have the problem said, “personnel safety is the first priority, and 100% of the vaccine must be guaranteed to be safe to use.
If there is only one slight indication that the vaccine will not meet the 100% quality standard, the batch will not be vaccinated.”
The Haute-Franken and Schwaben regions, which had previously temporarily postponed vaccination due to cold chain problems, have announced that the vaccine manufacturer has confirmed that a slight temperature difference caused by the failure of the refrigerator during transportation will not affect the preservation of the vaccine, so it is barrier-free to start vaccination.
It is understood that the coronavirus vaccine can be stored for 6 months at minus 70 degrees Celsius, 15 days in an incubator with dry ice, and 5 days in refrigeration conditions at 2-8 degrees Celsius.
