According to the UAE’s official news agency, the Arab Parliamentary Union held an emergency online meeting on May 12 to discuss the situation in Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Saqr Ghubash, President of the Arab Parliamentary Union and Speaker of the Federal Parliament of the United Arab Emirates, presided over the meeting.

The Arab Parliamentary Union was founded in 1974 and has 22 member States.
