February 27 According to a report by Brazil’s G1 News Network on the 26th, Mario Guerrero, a centenarian veteran from Brazil who participated in World War II, was discharged from the hospital on the 25th after receiving hospital treatment for 40 days of COVID-19.

Mario Guerrero was reportedly born in Manaus, Amazon, Brazil.

During World War II, he went to Italy to fight and became the only survivor of 160 Amazon soldiers at that time. On January 14, he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and then went to São Paulo for medical treatment.

In response to his recovery and discharge, the former president of the Brazilian Amazon Bar Association celebrated that Guerrero participated in World War II and defeated the novel coronavirus.
