Thai government spokesman Anucha said on the 15th that vaccination can begin in no more than three days after the arrival of the vaccine, that is, February 27.
According to the Bangkok Post and Thailand’s World Daily, the mission was piloted by an Airbus A350-900 of Thai Airways International.
The flight is scheduled to take off from Beijing that morning and land at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Thailand at about 11 noon, transporting 200,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine produced by China’s Sinopharm Company.
Chaiyapruk Didyasarin, chairman of Thai Airways International, said that the special opportunity is equipped with a temperature control box and accompanied by experts to ensure that the vaccine remains in the ideal condition during the flight.
He also said, “It is a great honor to carry out Thailand’s first vaccine delivery mission.”
