February 2nd, local time, Tesla announced that it would recall more than 130,000 cars due to the lack of certain safety functions caused by the lack of certain safety functions on the touch display screen.

The recalled vehicle was reportedly produced in batches at the Tesla Super Plant in Fremont, California, including the Model S produced from 2012 to 2018 and the Model X produced from 2016 to 2018.

On January 13, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration asked Tesla to recall more than 158,000 cars, saying that the touch control screens of these cars could cause safety problems.

According to the notice, the reason why these cars are called for recall is that the touch screen of these vehicles may fail after several years of use, affecting the safety functions of the vehicles, such as central control failure, dark reversal image, etc.

However, Tesla’s number of recalled vehicles announced this time is different from those given by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, saying that some vehicles have been repaired.

In 2017, Tesla recalled about 53,000 vehicles due to parking brake failures.
