Tedros bitterly criticizes the uneven distribution of coronavirus vaccines: some countries only get 25 doses of vaccine

According to the Axios news website on January 19, the world’s “is on the verge of catastrophic moral failure” due to the unequal distribution of coronavirus vaccines, the world warned on Monday.

At an executive meeting, Tedros pointed out that 49 higher-income countries have been vaccinated with 39 million doses, while one lowest-income country has only 25 doses of vaccine.

He did not specify which country it was, but a WHO spokesman confirmed that it was Guinea, a West African country.

He also said that this “first-me-first” approach will eventually prolong the epidemic control time, as well as human and economic suffering.
