According to British media reports, on the 25th local time, British special forces carried out a raid on a tanker suspected of being hijacked in the English Channel and successfully controlled the tanker.

According to British media reports, the incident tanker was a Libyan oil tanker.

The tanker had previously departed from the port of Lagos, Nigeria, and planned to arrive at the port of Southampton, UK on the morning of the 25th local time. 

According to media reports, after the incident tanker arrived in the English Channel, seven stowaways on board tried to hijack the tanker through violence.

After the incident, at the request of the British police, the British Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Interior authorized special forces to board the tanker. 

Afterwards, the British Ministry of Defense stated that the British Special Forces had taken control of the tanker suspected of being hijacked, all crew members on the ship were safe, and seven stowaways involved had been arrested.

At present, the local police said that the incident is under investigation, and it is not clear where these stowaways came from and what their attempts were.
