February 12th local time, Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso, who had previously suffered a traffic accident while riding near Lugano, Switzerland, had successfully underwent surgery in Bern and is recovering further.
Alonso’s Alpine team issued a statement confirming that Alonso is currently in good health.
After hospital observation, it was confirmed that the maxillary fracture was successfully operated on.
Alonso will remain in the hospital for 48 hours of observation, and is expected to gradually resume normal training after a rehabilitation and prepare for the upcoming new season of Formula One racing.
