Spain officially opens the coronavirus vaccination process

December 27th, local time, according to the Spanish government, the country officially started the coronavirus vaccination work. At 9:00 a.m.

on the 27th, Alacelli, a 96-year-old man living in Olmers nursing home in Guadalajara, Spain, was vaccinated against the country’s first dose of the novel coronavirus vaccine.

Monica, a 40-year-old nurse at the nursing home, was also vaccinated.

Spain is expected to vaccinate about 2.29 million people against the coronavirus in the next 12 weeks.

The vaccine will lead the coverage of groups such as nursing homes and medical personnel, and the country’s public health network will set up 13,000 vaccination sites nationwide.
