December 31, local time, Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha González announced at a press conference that Spain and the British government have reached an agreement that from January 1, 2021, the British territory of Gibraltar and Spain in the Iberian Peninsula will temporarily have no EU border.

Gibraltar EU policies such as the Schengen Area and the Tariff System will continue to be implemented for at least the next six months. González said that Spain, as a member of the European Union, will guarantee the continued application of the Schengen Zone Treaty to Gibraltar

Which also means that Gibraltar will be excluded from the Brexit-related agreement between the United Kingdom and the EU for at least the next six months.
