The mountain fire broke out on the morning of the 4th in the area of Ono Mountain, Douchuan, north of Weizhen County, North Gyeongsang Province. It has been burning for eight consecutive days. At present, no casualties have been caused.

According to reports, Weizhen County has an overheated area of 184.84 million hectares, 1509 hectares in Sanzhi City, Jiangyuan Province, 1,900 hectares in Jiangling City and 2,100 hectares in Donghai City. The total area of the overheating is equivalent to 33,000 football fields, and it sets a new record for the largest overfired area set by the East Coast forest fire in 2000 (237.94 million hectares).

The fire affected 252 households and 390 people, of whom 171 families and 254 were placed in temporary facilities. 648 facilities were damaged, including 358 residential buildings, 48 agricultural and livestock facilities, 167 factories and warehouses, and 75 religious facilities.

According to the report, the main fires in Jiangling City and Donghai City have been extinguished, and the extinguishing rate of Weizhen City and Sanzhi City is 75%.
