South Korea’s Ministry of Land and Transport demands the immediate grounding of Boeing 777 aircraft

According to a report by South Korea Radio International on February 23, South Korea has decided to temporarily suspend all domestic aircraft of the Boeing 777 aircraft after the engine blades of a United Airlines flight fell off on the 20th of this month.

South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on the 23rd that it had notified Korean Airlines, Asian Airlines and Real Airways to stop Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with PW4000 series engines.

According to the survey, there are currently 29 Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with PW4000 series engines in South Korea, of which Korean Airlines has 16 and Asian Airlines and Zhen Airlines have 9 and 4 respectively.
