Yonhap News Agency, the Central Anti-Pandemic Response Headquarters of South Korea released the results of the joint mid-term study on the clinical sequelae of COVID-19 at a regular press conference on the 14th.

The results showed that some cured patients had hair loss, asthma and other sequelae.

The study was conducted every three months for 40 adults hospitalized after the diagnosis of infection.

According to the results of the investigation, three months after recovery from the novel coronavirus, there are mainly sequelae such as asthma or hair loss, and more patients feel tired after six months.

According to CT examination, lung inflammation still exists after three months of recovery. After six months, most patients will improve, but some patients have lobular fibrosis.

Taking psychiatric sequelae as an example, most patients have depression symptoms and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Over time, depression symptoms gradually disappear, but PTSD increases.

Kwon Yu, Minister of the Second Copy of the Central Pandemic Prevention and Response Headquarters of South Korea, said that China, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries have launched an investigation into the sequelae of the novel coronavirus.

South Korea’s Pandemic prevention department will pay close attention to the situation in other countries and continue to investigate.
