South Korean President Moon Jae-in: Hope the “Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement” will help countries strengthen economic cooperation and overcome the epidemic crisis

The leaders of China, South Korea, Japan, the 10 ASEAN countries, New Zealand, and Australia formally signed the largest free trade agreement in the world-the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) on the 15th.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said at the leaders’ meeting that the huge economic community established under the Coronavirus pandemic has sounded the alarm for trade protectionism and promoted the importance of free trade. It is hoped that RCEP can help countries strengthen economic cooperation and jointly overcome the epidemic crisis.

The Blue House of the Presidential Palace of South Korea stated that this agreement will help strengthen economic cooperation among countries and increase the height of South Korea’s industrial structure, thereby overcoming the epidemic and speeding up the pace of South Korea’s new southern policy.
