December 24, Yonhap News Agency reported that the South Korean court suspended the Attorney General’s suspension of office and Yin Xiyue was reinstated.

On November 24, South Korea’s Minister of Justice Qiu Mei-ai announced that she would suspend Attorney General Yoon Seok-yue and demanded that he be punished. This is the first time in South Korea’s history that the Attorney General has been suspended from office by the Minister of Justice.

On December 1, the South Korean court ruled on the application of Attorney General Yoon Seok-yue in response to the application of Minister of Justice Qiu Mei-ai to stop the suspension order, announcing the suspension of the effect of the suspension, so that Yoon Seok-yue will return to work.
