South Korea signed a contract for the procurement of coronavirus vaccine with Yang Sen and Pfizer.

According to a Yonhap News Agency on the 24th, South Korean State Prime Minister Ding Shijun said that the government had signed a contract for the procurement of the coronavirus vaccine with pharmaceutical companies Yang Sen and Pfizer when he presided over the meeting of the Central Disaster Safety Response Headquarters at the Seoul office building of the central government on the 24th.

Ding Shijun said that under the contract, South Korea will purchase 6 million doses of vaccines from Yang Sen and start vaccination in the second quarter of next year; 10 million doses of vaccines from Pfizer for delivery in the third quarter of next year.

The government is negotiating with Pfizer to see the vaccines arrive in the second quarter.
