Yonhap News Agency on January 15th, South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on the 15th that in view of the global coronavirus epidemic, the government has decided to extend the special global tourism alert period for South Korean citizens from January 16 to February 15.

The South Korean government issued a special global tourism warning for the first time on March 23 last year.

Since then, the deadline has been extended month by month, and it is still possible to extend the early warning period according to the epidemic situation in the future.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens who plan to leave the country during this period cancel or postpone the relevant plans, and reminds citizens staying overseas to strictly abide by the health and epidemic prevention code, avoid unnecessary travel as much as possible, and reduce contact with others.
