South African Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said in an interview with the local media in South Africa on the 23rd that a new batch of Johnson & Johnson vaccines will arrive in South Africa on the 27th, and more than 23,000 health workers have completed the first dose of vaccination.

Mkhize also said that South Africa will give priority to the use of Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which the government hopes to quickly control the spread of mutant viruses.

The Ministerial Vaccines Advisory Committee has divided the vaccine into three groups, and Johnson & Johnson, MODERNA and Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccines are considered for “immediate use”.

The government has placed huge orders for Johnson & Johnson & Pfizer, which will be finalized in the next few days and announced after the finalization.
